Kids, in other words, many of us believe, won’t get stronger by lifting weights and will probably hurt themselves. But a major new review just published in Pediatrics, together with a growing body of other scientific reports, suggest that, in fact, weight training can be not only safe for young people, it can also be beneficial, even essential.Jump over and read it. Good research, and like some of the best type of investigative research, great about taking what we think we all know "is true" and seeing if, in fact, it is.

Today for skills we focus on shoulder mobility and warm-ups, and then spent some time working on getting perfect mechanics in the overhead squat. Light weights, great form! Well done!
